Watercolor 30A Children’s Portraits Photography

Our children seem to grow up in the blink of an eye and before we know it they are starting families of their own. This is why children’s portrait photography is so important.

This little princess holds a very special place in my heart. I was there the day she drew her first breath and said hello to the world. I was there for many of her first milestones and her first tantrums. She is determined, independent and very stubborn! She will one day probably be the CEO of a huge company or president of the USA!

She is smart, beautiful and so very loving when she isn’t being just the opposite of all these things. She loves to play dress up and play in the dirt. Sometimes all at the same time. She loves babies and dogs. She is my heart and calls me Mimi.

I tell you all this because one day I’m sure we will forget how much this little Tasmanian princess keep us on our toes and how much love she brought into our lives while doing it. But the one thing we will never forget is what she looked like through all of these stages and milestones. Why will we never forget? Because I have documented them with professional children’s photography!

I often set aside dates for my babies to just go out, the two of us for a Mimi and me day. We pick out an outfit or two and a location and we go take pictures. We play dress up. We splash in water. We hike though the woods. We have together time. I let them do what ever they want to do with a few little instructions from me. We laugh and act silly. We have so much fun. We end up with beautiful portraits to remember our day and to remember the stage of life they were at. I will treasure these memories and they will one day treasure the images and hopefully have found memories of Mimi and me day.

So the moral here: Whether you hire a professional or you do it yourself, take lots of photographs of your children and grandchildren. Spend time with them. Make it fun. Make lasting memories.

These images are not posed, she does not always look at the camera and she will almost never smile for the camera. But if I allow her to be herself and have fun, we always end up with a few shots worthy of the memory album. She will however, laugh when she does the opposite of what I ask her to do!

Enjoy your babies and take lots of pictures!

Ava and I spent our day roaming around Watercolor and Eden Gardens State park. If you love these images and would like to have your child photographed there, give us a call or complete the contact form for more information on capturing your child’s milestone portraits.
