When the children are grown and off to college and living “their dream”, it’s sometimes hard to get everyone together for a family photography session. However, I bet if you offer them a trip to the beach, they will have no problem fitting your portrait session into their “busy” schedules. Well, that’s what worked for this mom! She planned a trip to Destin and scheduled a family session with me so that she could have an updated family portrait to hang on her wall. With both her boys being off to college, they don’t get the opportunity to vacation as a family as often as she would like. So this was an extra special vacation for the whole family.
Boys will be boys. These boys were grumbling and complaining and fussing for the first 5 minutes of their session! You would have though that they were being asked to have a root canal with no novocain! However, after the first 5 minutes, they were laughing, joking and having a blast! By the end session everyone was saying thanks mom! So the moral here, don’t worry about the fussing and grumbling, JUST DO IT! Once they hit the beach and see that it really is fun, they will thank you latter!
Sometimes getting our families all together at one time can be a real chore. But I promise, once you get there, you will never regret the little bit of hard work it took!
